How do I find a volunteer opportunity?

Please create a profile, based on your profile we will contact you with volunteer opportunities.

Why do I need an email account to refer myself to an opportunity?

So we can see your profile and match you to the best volunteer opportunities available in your area.

Why do I have to register as a member before I can refer myself to a volunteer opportunity?

Joining is free. As a volunteer you have the opportunity to attend our events at no cost when you volunteer at these events. It is also a valuable tool as you can use it to upload your profile and to network.

Where can I learn more about the different areas to volunteer in?

Once you have created your profile one of our leads will contact you and get you engaged in all the different volunteer opportunities available.

Can I volunteer even though I have never been to a Cleantech Open event before?

Yes you can, we want you to be part of the Cleantech Open network.

Can I volunteer in more than one region?

Yes, we appreciate your willingness to volunteer and make a difference regardless of where you live.

How much time does volunteering take; do I have to volunteer everyday?

You can volunteer as many hours as you would like.

Is there a volunteer information briefing that I should attend?

It varies from region to region. Once you are in touch with the Region leader they will keep you posted on all available opportunities.

Can I still volunteer even if I am unable to attend pre-event meetings?

Yes you can although we encourage you to attend a pre- event meeting if at all possible.

Is there a way for me to participate locally year-round?

Yes. Your regional lead can discuss this with you.

What should I do if I have a specialized interest or skill to contribute (such as IT, mentoring, judging)?

We will contact you and discuss how you can share your skills with the Cleantech Open.

Do I have to wear a uniform if I volunteer?

No. You do have to wear a badge to clearly identify that you are a volunteer.

Is volunteering fun?

Yes, and it is very rewarding. To learn more go here.

How many volunteers does it take to put on an event?

It varies, it depends on the size of the event.

What can I do to contribute as a volunteer of the Cleantech Open?

Do I get a free ticket if I volunteer?

Only if you volunteer during the event.
